you use distributive property.
-6(m+5)=9m (times each number by -6))
-6m-30=9m ((-6 times m is -6m and -6 times 5 is -30))
+6 +6 ((combine like terms so add six to both sides))
-30=15m (( divide -30 by 15))
m=-2
