x = a(y-k)^2+h
opens to the right if a is positive
opens to the left if a is negative.

The standard parabola has equation
y+=+aX%5E2+%2B+bX+%2B+c
This formula give a parabola that opens up / down.
To open left or right, switch the x and y and then rewrite as
x+=+ay%5E2+%2B+by+%2B+c
