You use the terms incorrectly. Math is a language .
Problems are not distributive nor associative.
We use various property of numbers to solve problems.
It is similar to asking "Is soup a spoon?"
Soup is consumed using a spoon.
Is ice cream a fork or tongue?
The associative property allows us to change the order of addition or multiplication
Distributive property is a combo of addition and multiplication.
ab+ac=a(b+c)
There is multiplication and addition involved at both ends
