You can put this solution on YOUR website! I can do this, but I don't want to get involved with god.
---------------
Get things lined up better to avoid confusion
-------------------
Multiply thru by (4-y^2)
10-5y - 2y = -3y-6
10-7y = -3y-6
16 = 4y
y = 4
-------
Check:
5/6 - 8/(-12) =? 3/2
5/6 + 4/6 = 9/6 = 3/2, so it's correct.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I agree with your answer of 4. I would be interested in seeing your working?
Anyone can go on http://www.myalgebra.com/algebra_solver.aspx to find the answer, but using maths to work it out by yourself is the real skill! ;-)
