You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the speed of the train A be x
Then,the speed of the train B is x+10
Given,Train A travels 400 miles in the same time that train B travels 500 miles
400/x = 500/(x+10)
400(x+10) = 500x
4(x+10) = 5x
4x+40 = 5x
40 = 5x-4x
40 = x
So,the speed of the train A is 40 miles per hour
the speed of the train Bis x+10 = 50 miles per hour
