Question 253739: The perimeter of a rectangular floor is 90 feet. Find the dimensions of the floor if the length is twice the width Answer by palanisamy(496) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let the width of the rectangle be x.
Then, the length of the rectangle = 2x.
Perimeter of the rectangle is
x+x+2x+2x = 90
6x = 90
x = 90/6
x = 15 feet
Therefore,the width of the rectangle =15 feet.
And, the length of the rectangle = 2x = 2*15 = 30feet
