You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Ok, you start off with 5%282%29%5Ex-3=7.6
add 3 to both sides
5%282%29%5Ex=10.6
divide both sides by 5
2%5Ex=2.12
take log base 2 of both sides
log+%28base+2%29+of+2%5Ex+=+log+%28base+2%29+of+2.12
by using properties of logarithms, the left side will just be x.
Use the change of base formula on the right and you get %28log+2.12%29%2F%28log+2%29
Using a calculator, I get x=1.0841
