Question 25308: explain how a negative number with more zeros in front of it is bigger than a number with less zeros?
ex: -.00235 is bigger than -.0235 Answer by Died2Soon(6) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Just pretend they're both positive. The .00235 would be smaller than the .0235. So when they're negative the smaller number is bigger because if it was on a number line it would be closer to zero.
Hope this helps
