Question 252902: the graph at the right shows the equation y=4square root of x. based on this graph answer the questions below.
how many real roots does 4 square root of -4 have? (you do not have to find the value of these roots-just tell how many there are.) please solve this problem for me:)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
your equation is y = 4*sqrt(x).

the graph of that equation looks like this:

graph%281200%2C600%2C-1%2C1%2C-5%2C5%2C4%2Asqrt%28x%29%29%29

this equation is valid for all values of x >= 0.

the equation has one root at x = 0 because when x = 0, y = sqrt(0) = 0.

there are no values for y at x = -4 because the domain of this equation is all value of x >= 0. x = -4 is outside of the domain therefore the range is undefined for that value of x.
