X kilos of santol at 12 pesos per kilo is worth 12X pesos, 
and (60-X) kilos of santol at 8 pesos per kilo is worth 
8(60-X) pesos. When they are mixed there will be 60 kilos 
of santol worth 10 pesos per kilo for a total worth of 
600 pesos.

Therefore

the worth of the X pesos + 
the worth of the (60-X) kilos = 
the worth of the 60 kilos. 

12X pesos + 8(60-X) pesos = 600 pesos

            12X + 8(60-X) = 600
           12X + 480 - 8X = 600
                4X + 480 = 600
                      4X = 600 - 480
                      4X = 120
                       X = 30 kilos
