Question 252609: I am stuck on this one question. Could you please help?
Question: Farmer Minh is building a barn. He is trying to decide whether to make the barn floor (the Prism's base) in the shape of a regular octagon (8 sides), a regular decagon (10 sides, or a regular dodecagon (12 sides). He realizes that he will want to paint the outside of the barn (including the doors), so he decides to look for the shape that gives the barn the lease lateral surface area. The barn's walls will be 10 feet tall. Which of these give the lease lateral surface area?
Please help! Thank you in advance for all the trouble!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The more sides a polygon has, the smaller is its perimeter for the same area. A circle is essentially a polygon with infinite sides, so it would give you the smallest perimeter. Out of the answer choices, the regular dodecagon (12 sides) has the least perimeter for the same surface area.
