The area formula for a rectangle is:
A+=+L+x+W
we know L = 7/8 and w = 3. Also both lengths are in the same unit. That is good.
put L and W values into the formula to get
A = 7/8 * 3
A = 7/8 * 3/1
A = 21/8
The area is 2.625 m^2.
