You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3%2Asqrt%2812%29%2B2%2Asqrt%283%29 Start with the given expression

3%2A2%2Asqrt%283%29%2B2%2Asqrt%283%29 Simplify sqrt%2812%29 to get 2%2Asqrt%283%29. Note: If you need help with simplifying square roots, check out this solver.

6%2Asqrt%283%29%2B2%2Asqrt%283%29 Multiply 3 and 2 to get 6.

Since we have the common term sqrt%283%29, we can combine like terms

%286%2B2%29sqrt%283%29 Factor out the GCF sqrt%283%29

8%2Asqrt%283%29 Combine like terms.

So 3%2Asqrt%2812%29%2B2%2Asqrt%283%29 simplifies to 8%2Asqrt%283%29.

In other words, 3%2Asqrt%2812%29%2B2%2Asqrt%283%29=8%2Asqrt%283%29

Close but no cigars.
3sqrt(12)=3*2(sqrt(3) =6sqrt(3) NOT 3+2sqrt(3)=5sqrt(3)
So we have 6sqrt(3)+2sqrt(3)=8sqrt(3)
BTW I appreciate your attempt at solving.

First thing, you do NOT have an equation. An equation has an equals sign in it somewhere. You have an expression that needs to be simplified. And, no you did not do it correctly.

So far, so good, but I cannot fathom your thought process to get you to what you say is the next step, hence here is where I have to depart from your path.
