You can put this solution on YOUR website!
D=RT
R=D/T
R=18/2=9 KMH WITH THE CURRENT.
R=14/2=7 KMH AGAINST THE CURRENT.
(9-7)/2=2/2=1 KMH IS THE SPEED OF THE CURRENT.
PROOF:
9-1=8 SWIMMER'S SPEED.
7+1=8 DITTO.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
d*2=18 km
u*2=14 km
d=9
u=7
9-7=2
2/2=1
Current is 1 kmph
Elvis can swim 8 kmph in still water
(8+1)*2=18
9*2=18
(8-1)*2=14
7*2=14
