Question 251589: The following linear equation can be used to determine the salvage value S, in dollars, of a color
photocopier t years after its purchase. (0 ≤ t ≤ 5)
S = –400t + 2000
(a) Identify and (b) interpret the meaning of both the slope and the y-intercept.
(I don't understand this, what is it trying to tell me?)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the slope is -400 slant down (left to right) gets lower as the years go up
and the y intercept is 2000 x=0
x=t
y=S
As time is zero the value is 2000 It was worth 2000 when new
