Question 250988: Graph 2x+y<6
Answer by drk(1908) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! There are two ways we can do this: (i) intercepts; (ii) slope-intercept. I will use intercepts.
step 1 - cover the x and solve for y.
y = 6.
step 2 - cover the y and solve for x.
x = 3.
step 3 - plot both of these intercept and draw a "dashed" line through them. Since our inequality is not equal, we draw dashed lines.
step 4 - shading.notice y >. Since Y is greater than, shade up and away from you.
and you are done.
