3+ x + 6/x = x + 5/x - 1
Multiply both sides of the equation by x to get x out of the denominator:
3x + x^2 + 6 = x^2 + 5 - x
Subtract x^2 from both sides:
3x + 6 = 5 - x
Now you can solve for x.
