You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Your original equations were:
(i) a+-+2b+=+2
(ii)+a+%2B+b+=+2%28b%2B3%29
rewrite (ii) so that a and b are on the same side. We get
(i) a+-+2b+=+2
(iii)a+-+b+=+6
multiply (iii) by -2 and eliminate b. then solve for a.
i) ++a+-+2b+=+++2
(iii)-2a+%2B+2b+=+-12
-a+=+-10
a+=+10
sub back into (i) to find b.
b+=+4
Now, we check
(ii) 10 + 4 = 2(4+3) - -> 14 = 14 check
