Here is the original problem.
f(x)=log [(x-2)/(x-1)]
The domain of any log >=0
Step 1 -set (x-2) / (x-1) >= 0
First notice that if x = 1, our fraction is undefined.
* X cannot = 1
step 2 - multiply both sides by (x-1) to get
(x-2) >= 0
solving for x, we see
** x cannot = 2.
So it appears that x cannot equal 1 or 2.
