You can put this solution on YOUR website! to begin with we don't know how many coins there are total.
We also need to know the total values of the coins.
you can't assume 100 coins
50% doesn't mean 50 pennies
let x= total number of coins
.50x=p
the remaining is also 50%
but half of that is 25%
so 25%are quarters
are equally nickels , dimes and half dollars.
let n=number of nickels
n=d
n=h
So that 3n=.25x
so far then we have
x=p+q+n+d+h
x/2=p
x/4=q
3n=.25x
n+d+h=.25x
3n=n+d+h
x/2+x/4+3n=x
x=12n
I suspect we are missing some info such as a dollar amount for something.
Plus we haven't actually been asked to solve for anything in particular.
