What does it mean to refer to a 20 in TV set or a 25 in set? Many are refering to the diagonal of the screen. A 25 in tv set also has a width of 20 in. What is the height? (in inches)

Draw the picture including the diagonal.
Label the diagonal "25"
Label the width "20"
Label the height "x".

Use Pythagoras to solve for "x":
x^2 + 20^2 = 25^2
x^2 = 625 - 400
x^2 = 225
x = 15" (height)
