You can put this solution on YOUR website!
SUBSTITUTE the equivalent value of a quantity from one equation to another

add 9y to 1st eqn ___ 6x = 9y + 19.5

multiply 2nd eqn by 2 ___ 14y - 6x = 22

SUBSTITUTE the equivalent value of 6x from the 1st eqn to the second eqn ___ 14y - (9y + 19.5) = 22

5y = 41.5 ___ y = 8.3

SUBSTITUTE to find x ___ 6x = 9(8.3) + 19.5 = 94.2 ___ x = 15.7
