Subsitute v with 729. Then you get 729=s3. Then divide each side by three to get 243=s. one of your sides therefore is 243cm3.

Oops!! I think the previous solution is in error! The formula for Volume is V=+s%5E3, so
s%5E3+=+729.

To solve this, you'll need to take the cube root of each side. A calculator would be helpful, since this number 729 is fairly large. If you don't have a calculator, then what you will need to do is find a number that you can cube (that is, multiply times itself and times itself again!) and get 729. You probably know that 5%5E3=+125, and 10%5E3+=+1000. Since 729 is between 125 and 1000, the number you need must be between 5 and 10.

Try 9! 9%5E3+=+729, so the answer is s= 9 cm.
