three-fifths of the men in a chemistry class have beards and two-thirds of the women have long hair. if there are 120 in the class and 46 are not in the above groups how many men and how many women are there in the class
i've litereally wasted over 4 hours trying everything i know i have no clue what to do. please give equations i don't need the answer.

m + w = 120 ___ m = 120 - w

120 - 3m/5 - 2w/3 = 46

multiplying by 15 (LCD) ___ 1800 - 9m - 10w = 690

substituting ___ 1800 - 1080 + 9w - 10w = 690 ___ -1w = -30 ___ w = 30

substituting ___ m + 30 = 120 ___ m = 90
