Assuming that the figure in question is a rectangle
3/x+4 length, x/x-5 width
we have problem here do you mean (3/x)+4 or 3/(x+4)
and x/(x-5) or (x/x)-5
I will assume again that you mean
3/x+4) and x/(x-5)
area=(3/(x+4)) *( x/(x-5)) which gets quite fun with theta and Gaussian elimination and matrices and the root x=0
perimeter=(3/(x+4))+( x/(x-5))+(3/(x+4)) +( x/(x-5))
even the perimeter gets to be fun with radicals.
