Let x+1 = consecutive integer
.
If: 3 times the smaller of 2 consecutive integers = 3x
And: four times the larger = 4(x+1)
And: the result is (=) 88
.
Our equation becomes: 3x%2B%284%28x%2B1%29%29=88
.
Distribute 4, then solve for x.
