Do you happen to know what number you can cube and get 729? Do you have a calculator? If so, you can take the cube root of 729. That is  .
If you are NOT allowed to use calculators, then you will have to start cubing numbers, like  ,  ,  , and so on, then try  . OOPS!! That number is larger than 729, so back off and try 9! I think you will find that  , so the answer you need is 9 cm. Final answer!
