You can put this solution on YOUR website! solve the system by elimination and the solution is an ordered pair of fractions that is simplified.
5x+3y=-11
7x-2y=13
----------------
Let's say you want to eliminate the y-terms.
------
Multiply thru the 1st equation by 2
Multiply thru the 2nd equation by 3
------
10x+6y = -22
21x-6y = 39
--------------------
Add the two equation:
31x = 17
x = 17/31

-----------------
Substitute into either of the two original equations to solve for "y":
7(17/31)-2y = 13
2y = 7(17/31)-13
y = -142/31
------------------------
Ans: (17/31 , -142/31)
