solving means "where are they equal". In this case, where do the curve and the straight line cross each other...So plot the graphs together.

You get graph%28200%2C200%2C-5%2C5%2C-5%2C5%2C+x%5E2-4%2C+x-2%29

From the graph, read off the x and y coordinates of the 2 points where the 2 graphs cross.
