You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%284-x%29%2F%282x-4%29+-+%28%283x-8%29%2F%284-2x%29%29

It is helpful to re-write the second fraction as an ADDITION problem as follows:
%284-x%29%2F%282x-4%29%2B%28%283x-8%29%2F%282x-4%29%29

Now you have a common denominator, so you can ADD the numerators:
%284-x%2B3x-8%29%2F%282x-4%29
%282x-4%29%2F%282x-4%29

If you need additional help with equation solving, then see my own website. Do a Bing or Google search for my last name "Rapalje". Near the top of the search list, look for "Rapalje Homepage." Near the top of my Homepage, look for "Basic, Intermediate, and College Algebra: One Step at a Time." Select "Basic Algebra", and look in "Chapter 3" for "Section 3.04 Adding and Subtracting Fractions." My own students always told me that this was MUCH easier to understand than other traditional textbooks! Check it out--it's all FREE.
