Question 243095: I have a few more problems that are giving me trouble, I understand how to start but have no clue how to follow through with the problem. Please help me understand...thanks in advance!!

Divide and Simplify: 5x-5/121 divided by x-1/55x

Simplify by removing factors of 1: m^2 - 36/ (m+6)^2

Mulitply and Simplify: 9x^2/4x^2-32x+64 times 4x-16/3x

Thanks again for the help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Divide and Simplify:
(5x-5)/121 divided by (x-1)/55x
Invert the denominator and multiply:
(5x-5)/121 times 55x/(x-1)
Factor:
{5(x-1)/11^2 * 5(11x)/(x-1)
Cancel common factors such as (x-1) and 11 to get:
[5/11]
= (25x)/11
===================

Simplify by removing factors of 1:
(m^2 - 36)/ (m+6)^2
Factor:
[(m-6)(m+6)]/(m+6)^2
Cancel common factors such as (m+6) to get:
(m-6)/(m+6)
====================

Mulitply and Simplify:
9x^2/(4x^2-32x+64) times (4x-16)/3x
Factor:
9x^2/[4(x^2-8x+16)] times (4(x-4))/3x
---
Factor:
9x^2/[4(x-4)^2] times (4(x-4))/3x
---
Cancel common factors such as 3x, 4, (x-4) to get:
3x/(x-4) times 1/1
---
Ans: 3x/(x-4)
======================
Cheers,
