You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You are correct. Note how 243=3%5E5. So 3%5E%281%2B2x%29=243 becomes 3%5E%281%2B2x%29=3%5E5. Equate the exponents to get 1%2B2x=5 and solve for 'x' to get 2x=4 ---> x=2 which is the answer.
