You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If D = {w, h, y} and E = {n, o, t}then answer the following:
(a)How many possible one-to-one correspondences are there between sets D and E?
-------------------
With w you can associate 3 letters
With h you can associate 2 letters
With y you can associate 1 letter.
------------------
# of one-to-one is 3*2*1 = 6

There are three ways to make w correspond to an element of E. For each of those ways there are two ways to make h correspond to one of the elements that remain after the w correspondence is chosen. Hence, that is 6 ways to make the first two elements correspond. Then for each of those ways there is one way to make y correspond after both w and h correspondences have been chosen.
