Question 242442: Find the average wight in pounds of a type of bird of your choice.(I chose a turkey, averaging 25 pounds) Using the rational exponent equation L=2.43*W^0.3326 to estimate the wingspan L in feet of the bird that weighs W pounds.
I just want to know if I did my question right before I turn it in.
W=25
L=2.43*W^0.3326
L=2.43*25^0.3326
L=2.43*8.315=20.20545 Answer by MRperkins(300) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 25^.3326 is 2.917124...
I get my final answer to be 7.0886 feet
This makes more sense for a turkey's wingspan as a 20 foot wingspan on a turkey is unrealistic.
