Question 241494: Find the measure of an angle if its supplement measures 12(degrees)less than three times its complement.Ok for this problem i did not understand it at all,but i did try and work it out,this is what i did:180-x=12-3(90-x),180x=12-270+3x,180=-258+3x,180=-258+4x,-78=4x.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you're sort of close...

"its supplement" ___ 180-x

"measures" ___ =

"12(degrees)less than three times its complement" ___ 3(90-x) - 12

180 - x = 270 - 3x - 12

2x = 78 ___ x = 39
