You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hint: Remember that x%5E%281%2F2%29%5E%22%22=sqrt%28x%29. So this means that %284x%29%5E%281%2F2%29%5E%22%22=x%2B8 is equivalent to sqrt%284x%29=x%2B8

Square both sides to get 4x=%28x%2B8%29%5E2. From here, you basically expand and then use the quadratic formula to solve for 'x'. Don't forget to check your answers.
