This is shorthand for f(-1) - g(-1)
f%28-1%29+=+%28-1%29%5E2+-+%28-1%29+-2+=+1+%2B+1+-+2+=+0
g%28-1%29+=+2%28-1%29+-+7+=+-2+-+7+=+-9
So (f-g)(-1) = (0) - (-9) = 9
