Multiply the first eq. by 100 to get rid of fractions.
10x+15y=12
x+y=100
Multiply the second eq. by -10 and add to the first to get rid of x.
10x+15y=12
-10x-10y=-1000
5y=-988
y=-988/5
Then from
x+y=100
x-988/5=500/5
x=1488/5
