You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 * x + 4 * y = 100

x + y = 40

x = 40 - y

substitute in first equation to get:

2 * (40-y) + 4*y = 100

remove parentheses to get:

80 - 2y + 4y = 100

solve for y to get:

2y = 20

y = 10

x = 40 - 10 = 30

you have 30 questions worth 2 points.

you have 10 questions worth 4 points.

total questions is 30 + 10 = 40

total points is 60 + 40 = 100
