You can put this solution on YOUR website! Are you just trying to multiply these two mixed fractions? If so, are you allowed to use a calculator? If so, then change the fractions to decimals and multiply 4.25 times 64.25, and you get an ugly decimal 273.0625.
If no calculators are allowed, then convert the fractions to improper fractions, which would be
Multiply numerator times numerator and denominator times denominator, and now (you probably need the calculator to do the numerators!) you have
It's UGLY, but that's it. It's also a good place, if you ARE allowed to use calculators, to take this decimal answer of 273.0625 and use the calculator to convert the decimal to a fraction. Most calculators, even an ordinary TI30, will do this for you. If ANYONE is interested in doing this, send me an Email at rapaljer@scc-fl.edu, and tell me what kind of calculator you have. It's very easy to do.
