Question 236507: You are given the following data. Test the claim that there is a difference in the means of the two groups. Use = 0.01.
Group A Group B
x1= 7 x2 = 10
s1= 12 s2 = 11
n1= 66 n1 = 92
· State the null and alternate hypotheses
· Determine which test statistic applies, and calculate it
· Determine the critical value(s).
· State your decision: Should the null hypothesis be rejected?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! You are given the following data. Test the claim that there is a difference in the means of the two groups. Use = 0.01.
Group A Group B
x1= 7 x2 = 10
s1= 12 s2 = 11
n1= 66 n1 = 92

Comment: The data seems to imply you are going to test a
difference of proportions. But your problem asks you
to test a difference of means.
To do that you would need to be able to calculate
two sample means. The data is not there for testing
the difference of means.

· State the null and alternate hypotheses
Ho: u1-u2 = 2
H1: u1-u2 is not zero

· Determine which test statistic applies, and calculate it
· Determine the critical value(s).
· State your decision: Should the null hypothesis be rejected?
