Simplify each of the following, if possible. Write your answers in the exponential form a^b.
(a) 2^4 * 2^5 * 2^8
(b) 3^4 + 2 * 3^4
(c) 2^50 * 2^50

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify each of the following, if possible. Write your answers in the exponential form a^b.
(a) 2^4 * 2^5 * 2^8 = 2^(17)
-------------------------------------------------
(b) 3^4 + 2 * 3^4 = 3*3^4 = 3^5
Comment: This is like x + 2x which is 3x
You have (3^4) + 2(3^4) which gives you 3(3^4)
But 3(3^4) is 3^5
-------------------------------------------------
(c) 2^50 * 2^50 = 2^100
