The domain of an expression is the set of all numbers for which the expression is defined. Rational expressions are undefined when the denominator is zero. So set the denominator equal to zero, solve the resulting equation for any possible number(s) that must be excluded from the domain, and then the domain is all other numbers.

State the domain of each rational expression.
5/(4-3x)
-------------
The denominator must not equal zero.
4-3x = 0
when x = 4/3
--------------------
Domain: All Real Numbers except x = 4/3.
