You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Multiply out the parentheses:
-2x + 8 >10

Subtract 8 from each side:
-2x +8-8 >10-8
-2x >2

Divide both sides by -2. Remember that when you MULTIPLY or DIVIDE both sides of an inequality by a NEGATIVE number, it REVERSES the inequality sign!
-2x+%3E2
%28-2x%29%2F-2+%3C2%2F-2
x+%3C-1

Locate the number -1 on the left side of the numberline. Then shade all numbers to the LEFT of this point, and place an arrow going to the left on the left end of the numberline. Then indicate that the end point at x= -1 is NOT included by placing an open circle on x= -1.
