You can put this solution on YOUR website! What is the probability that a family with three children will have
one girl? : gbb,bgb,bbg ; P(1 girl in 3) = 3C1(1/2)^1*(1/2)^2 = 3*(1/8) = 3/8
two girls?: bgg,gbg,ggb : P(2 girls in 3)= 3C2(1/2)^2(1/2) = 3(1/8) = 3/8
----------------------
Why is that happening?
P(1 girl in 3) = P(1 boy in 3)
----------------------
