You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"20 coins in nickels, dimes, and quarters" ___ n + d + q = 20 ___ d = 20 - n - q

"6 more quarters than nickels" ___ q = n + 6

"$3.30 in all" ___ 5n + 10d + 25q = 330

substituting ___ d = 20 - n - n - 6 = 14 - 2n

substituting ___ 5n + 10(14 - 2n) + 25(n + 6) = 330
___ 5n + 140 - 20n + 25n + 150 = 330
___ 10n = 40 ___ n = 4

substituting ___ q = 4 + 6 = 10

substituting ___ d = 20 - 4 - 10 = 6
