You have the right idea to start!
4x-4y+=+11 Solve this for y by first adding 4y to both sides.
4x+=+4y%2B11 Now subtract 11 from both sides.
4x-11+=+4y Finally, divide both sides by 4.
x-11%2F4+=+y or:
y+=+x-11%2F4 Compare this with:
y+=+mx%2Bb and you can see that the slope m = 1.
