You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the slope and the y-intercept, you must solve for y in terms of x and write the equation in slope-intercept form.
8x - 4y = 12
-4y = -8x + 12

Divide both sides by -4:
-4y%2F-4+=+%28-8x%29%2F-4+%2B+12%2F-4
y+=+2x+-3

The slope is 2 and the y intercept is -3.
