You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a plumber and his apprentice work for 8 hours. The plumber makes $4.50 more than the apprentice per hour. How much do they each make
-----------------------
Let plumber make x + 4.5 per hour
Then aprentice makes x per hr
--------------
In 8 hrs the plumber makes 8x + 8*4.5 = (8x+36) dollars
In 8 hrs the apprentice makes 8x dollars
--------------------------------------------------

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The plumber makes 4.50/hr more than
the apprentice
Let p = the hourly pay of the plumber
The hourly pay of the apprentice is
p+-+4.5
They both work for 8 hrs
For plumber:
pay is 8p dollars
For apprentice:
pay is 8%2A%28p+-+4.5%29+=+8p+-+36 dollars
