You can put this solution on YOUR website! -8x^2+2x+2
-8x^2+x-6
+5x^2 +1
-----------------
-11x^2+3x-3
x=(-3+-sqrt[3^2-4*-11*-3])/2*-11
x=(-3+-sqrt[9-132])/-22
x=(-3+-sqrt123)/-22
x=(-3+-11.09i)/-22
x=-3/-22+-11.09i/-22
x=.1363636+-.504i ans.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello,
Here's how you do it.
Let's remove all the parenthesis first so it looks like this:
-8x^2+2x+2-8x^2+x-6+5x^2+1
Notice on the second parenthesis, the negative sign is carried through each term. OK now we can combine like terms. -8x^2-8x^2+5x^2 totals -11x^2
Now let's look at: 2x+x totals 3x
and +2-6+1 is -3
Put these together and you get -11x^2 + 3x -3
You're welcome.
